GéGé Toy or Model Trains ?

The locomotives from GéGé
If you look at a GéGé locomotive, coach or wagon, is it a model train or toy train?

A model train and a toy train have two different starting points.  The model train is a scale replica that is as good as possible, in which the correct dimensions and the correct details are very important. A toy train is more an interpretation of a real train, in which the dimensions and the exactness of details are less important then the play value.

Are GéGé trains model trains or toy trains?  The trains give a good impression of the real train, are quite good in scale and feature nice details.  The construction is robust, the engine indestructible and after 50 years they still drive excellently.

The purpose of these prestigious trains was mainly to run with them.  Therefore, they were usually sold in complete sets. I my opinion they are course scale modeltrains.

Very well made with a beautiful finish and worth collecting them.
